CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF F.O.O.D | 9 – 18 April 2021
Orange F.O.O.D Week is Australia’s longest running regional food festival and has been acclaimed as one of Australia’s top ten food festivals. The 10 day community festival is being held from Friday 9th April to Sunday 18th April 2021 and celebrates the Orange region’s diverse and high quality food and wine. It showcases the farmers who grow it, as well as the local chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and caterers that create extraordinary dishes with it.

Shining the Light on Local Producers
Join our local producers in this special line up show, tell and taste workshops throughout the week of the festival. You will get to meet our wonderful producers, learn about their produce and enjoy tastings with a glass of prosecco.


The Sampson Street Lunch
A long table lunch where people will gather under the Plane Trees in all their Autumnal glory.
The Sampson Street Lunch is a unique celebration to be held in an iconic part of Orange on the first Saturday of F.O.O.D Week bringing together some of Orange’s gastronomic icons who have contributed so much over the last 30 years; Michael Manners, Simonne Hawke, Tony Worland, Josie Chapman and Lesley Russell. The F.O.O.D Week Committee will set the table, our region’s chefs will be in the kitchen, local produce on a plate and our vineyards in a glass.

SBS Food – F.O.O.D’s 30th Anniversary Dinner
To celebrate our 30th year and acknowledge another truly positive impact that F.O.O.D Week has for Orange and its district, join us for fine dining and the nurturing of talented young chefs.
Five of our outstanding younger chefs will present the Monday Night Signature F.O.O.D Week Dinner at the Orange Function Centre. Richard Learmonth, Ruben Lopez, Dom Aboud, Lily Hahn-Stevens & Chris Tudor – the best of our local young guns, will present the best of our local produce. Accompanied by the best of our local wine – naturally!

Taste Local on the Lawn
Relax on the award winning lawn roof of the Orange Visitors Information Centre and Regional Museum. With a sunset view over the Orange CBD, enjoy local Produce, perfectly matched with award winning wines and local beer from Highland Heritage and Pioneer Brewing Co on Thursday and Strawhouse Wines and Badlands Brewing Co on Friday.

Forage
Forage is on in 2021! Take a magnificent 4.1km stroll through some of Orange’s most picturesque vineyards and soak up the breathtaking vistas through to Mount Canobolas.
On your journey, enjoy a degustation menu of local wine and tasting plates with live music along the way. You’ll be accompanied by knowledgeable locals who can answer questions about our cool climate region.

Sunday Producers’ Market and Brunch
Join the final festivity for the week! Come along to one of Orange’s most spectacular settings in Cook Park to enjoy brunch prepared by well-known cooks and producers. Stroll the market to meet and greet with the producers’, taste and purchase their local produce and take it home with you.
Visit the F.O.O.D HQ tent and grab your lucky tickets to the Producers’ Hamper raffle – drawn at 11am.
