To celebrate the abundance of local produce grown in our region, every F.O.O.D Week we choose a ‘Produce of the Year’ recipe so you can create a little slice of Orange in your own home. Here is another honey-based recipe that is sure to impress your friends and family. Simple to make, and makes a big statement.

750g of Cream Cheese
300g of Honey
3 Eggs
300g Dark Chocolate melted


Preheat oven to 180°c

Use 300g of your favourite biscuits and 180g of melted butter to make a cheesecake base in a springform tin.

Beat the cream cheese and Honey until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time beating well after each edition.

Fold in the melted Dark chocolate.

Pour onto the prepared base and bake for 50 minutes.

Cool completely before taking out of the cake tin. Serve with ice cream or sorbet and drizzle with honey. Bon appetit!
