Greentrees began as a 2 room bed and breakfast – the first in the City of Orange area – some eight months earlier in May, 1993. Visitor Centre staff came Greentrees in June 1993 to see what was offered to guests. When they sampled the Devonshire Tea with home made jams, they asked then and there if we would consider making jams, etc. for the Centre. We agreed, and following appropriate government approvals, production commenced for the next fruit season in January, 1994.

All products are made the old fashioned way by hand, – with fine quality local and regional fruits. The process is very labour intensive and time consuming. Over the years the product range has been extended to include approximately 26 varieties of jam, 6 marmalades, 4 jellies, 15 condiments and 13 varieties of bottled fruit, apricots, blackberries, blueberries, boysenberries, cherries, figs, gooseberries, loganberries, peaches, pears, plums, sour (Morello) cherries and sylvenberries.

Many people will remember the preserved fruit from Grandma’s time. Beautiful ripe fruit is sealed in glass jars and placed in a special temperature controlled cooking unit for several hours. The results are lovely to look at and delicious to eat. It is a wonderful way to enjoy nature’s bounty out-of-season especially at breakfast or as desserts.
